AT THE TOP
Sophomore midfielder Daisy Cook scored her fifth goal of the season in Concord's Wednesday contest versus Frostburg State. The goal allowed Cook to move into a tie for first place in the MEC in goals. The Redcar, England native has scored in back-to-back games after having a three-game goalless streak. Additionally, Cook surpassed her goal total from last year when she tallied four. Freshman forward Ela Marit Del Orbe bagged an assist for the second straight game Wednesday as she moved into a tie for third in the conference in assists (three). The trio of Cook, junior defender Ella Rowell and sophomore defender Molly Watters are all tied for ninth in the MEC in assists.

FIND THE BACK OF THE NET
In Sunday's 6-1 win at Wheeling, Watters recorded her first career brace as she netted CU's first two goals. Watters became the 10th different Concord player to score at least two goals in a game over the three seasons. Along with an assist, Del Orbe scored her first career goal while junior midfielder Eve Harriott did the same with a goal in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Sophomore forward Charlotte Barnes helped cap the scoring with an assist off a corner kick that led to Garratt's third goal in the 81st minute.

CHANGE UP
Since the 2019 season, Concord and Davis & Elkins had played either other twice, with the exception of the Covid-19 Spring 2021 season, as both teams were in the MEC South. However, D&E went to the MEC North with re-shuffling in the conference divisional format prior to this season. In 13 matchups as MEC foes, the Mountain Lions are 11-1-1. One of the lone blemishes for CU was a scoreless draw at Davis & Elkins last season. Concord was unable to break through despite playing up a player for more than 65 minutes. The Mountain Lions also outshot D&E 19-7 with nine shots on goal. At home last year, the Mountain Lions secured a 3-1 win in late October with junior midfielder Stephanie Tovar scoring in the 15th minute and Cook adding an insurance goal in the 85th minute.

WE'VE GOT GOALS
Concord has won 10 straight games against West Liberty with an explosion of goals in the two most recent meetings. The Mountain Lions have combined to score 13 times, including eight at West Liberty two years ago. CU attempted an eye-popping 43 shots versus WLU last season in a 5-0 win. Cook, Tovar and Watters tallied the final three goals last year, all in the second half. Rowell and junior forward Ailsa Swinburne both had assists last year. And in Concord's 8-3 win in its last visit to West Liberty, junior midfielder Lilly Lucas hit the back of the net for what was her first career goal.

SCOUTING THE SENATORS
D&E has found some success of late as two of the three wins on the year for the Senators have come in the last five games. Davis & Elkins scored in the last seven minutes Wednesday to grab a 2-2 tie at Charleston. The Senators are fourth in the MEC in goals allowed (12). Meghan Anderson has two goals on just three shots on frame. Vivian Kerr and Rafaela Leao are both responsible for two goals as well.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
Kylie Collins is one of four other players tied with Cook for the MEC lead in goals. The only other WLU goal this season was an own goal scored by Shawnee State. Concord and West Liberty have beaten the same two teams this season, Shawnee State and Wheeling. In the most recent outing for the Hilltoppers, West Liberty fell short, 3-2, versus Glenville State Wednesday.
