Kaden Swaim of the Concord University baseball team continued to add to his preseason accolades Thursday afternoon with the announcement of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-American Team was unveiled.
Swaim was a first team selection to the NCBWA Preseason All-American Team, adding to his D2Baseball.com Preseason First Team All-American nod earlier in the week.
The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native earned the preseason recognition after a 2025 campaign that saw him bat .349 with 13 home runs and 49 RBI. Swaim owned top-five marks in the MEC in both home runs (13) and slugging percentage (.657). His 13 home runs were tied for sixth most in program history at Concord.
Swaim and the Mountain Lions face fellow NCBWA Preseason All-American Charlie Bussey, a second team selection, and Francis 2:00 p.m. Friday in a doubleheader.
