ATHENS, W.Va. – With the 2025-26 school year officially wrapped up, the Concord University Sports Information Department will provide a rewind to some of the numbers and notes that were pertinent to the success of the Mountain Lions.
Each athletic program at Concord will have their own spotlights in this Emptying the Notebook series. The numbers and notes that may or may not have been used in previews and recaps throughout the season.

Emptying the Notebook on Baseball
6- Korbin Bostic became the first Concord player with multiple games of six RBI since at least the 2012 season. Bostic had six-RBI games versus Bluefield State and West Virginia State.
9- Concord won the Mountain East Conference South Division regular season title for the first time in nine years after going 19-11 in conference contests.
16- Strikeouts by
Kaden Varela-Payne in the MEC Tournament versus Wheeling, a single-game program and MEC record.
17- Concord went 17-3 in MEC South Division play which was the first time in program history that CU won all five MEC South series.
25- Stolen bases by
Lucas Cannon during his first season which was fifth most for a Mountain Lion in a single season. Cannon was 25-for-27 on steal attempts.
33- Career-high RBI for
Dawson Gragg in 2026, helping lead him to land All-MEC First Team honors. Gragg also set single-season career highs in home runs (five) and doubles (10).
106- Strikeouts by Varela-Payne in 2026 which was a single-season program record.
339- Strikeouts by the Concord pitching staff which were the third most in program history.
