ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University men's basketball team added to its growing roster for 2025-26 as head coach Todd May released the signing of Savier McCall Monday.

Name: Savier (pronounced Sauv-yaer) McCall
Hometown: Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Previous School: Arkansas Tech
Position: Guard
Height: 6-3

McCall spent the 2024-25 season at fellow Division II school Arkansas Tech. McCall played in 14 games with four starts for the Wonder Boys during his only season in Russellville, Arkansas. The future Mountain Lion excelled at Riverland Community College prior to ATU. In two seasons at Riverland, McCall averaged 14.6 points per game while shooting 54.8 percent from the floor and 37.6 percent from three-point range. McCall played 60 career games as he scored 16.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in 2023-24. He was named a JUCO Second Team All-American at season's end.

"Savier McCall is a versatile wing that can score the ball," May said. "He's played a lot of college basketball and is an older guy that brings toughness, and experience to our program. He can guard multiple positions on the defensive end. He fits our GRIT culture and we are excited to add him to the Mountain Lion family."

McCall began playing collegiate basketball at now-defunct Johnson University in Kissimmee, Florida. During his only season in 2020-21, Johnson averaged 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in 17 contests.

With the announcement of McCall's addition to the roster, Concord's 2025 recruiting class stands at five players: junior college forward Anfernee Hanna (Nassau, Bahamas/Motlow State CC), Division II transfer Khamani Wertz (Charlotte, N.C./Belmont Abbey College), junior college forward Eldon Terry (Brockton, Mass./Quincy College) and high school guard Micah Young (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North).
