Cierra Parker and sophomore
Meagan Poticher of the Concord University women's track & field team took part in the WVU Last Chance Meet Saturday at Mylan Park.

For Parker, she was seeking to improve her mark in the high jump, previously jumping 1.71 meters which is currently ranked in a tie for 21
st in Division II. On Saturday, Parker cleared 1.60 meters and finished second.

Poticher was after the school record in the discus as she was chasing the mark of 36.68 meters set in 2007 by Amber Showalter. Poticher's best throw was her sixth and final toss which traveled 32.09 meters. Poticher was also second in the discus field.

Once all the Division II meets have completed this weekend, Parker will find out whether she has moved on to the NCAA Division II National Championships which will be held May 22-24 on the campus of Colorado State Pueblo.
