The Mountain Lions wrapped up their trip to Florida at The Spring Games with a 3-3 record. CU got the tournament started with a pair of wins on day one over Ashland and Sioux Falls Friday and picked up another win over Edinboro Saturday. Concord plated 11 runs in both games Friday, totaling four doubles, two triples, and a home run from sophomore infielder

Reghan Hintz stood out at The Spring Games at the plate and in the circle. At the dish, Hintz tallied seven hits and collected a base hit in five-straight games including multi-hit games against Dominican (N.Y.) and Wayne State (Neb.). She also had one double and drove in seven runs. As a pitcher, the Melfa, Va. native pitched 4.2 innings, allowed two earned runs, struck out two hitters, and only issued one walk. On the season, Hintz is batting .393, good for second-best on the team with 11 hits and 10 RBI in 28 plate appearances.

SERIES SPLITS
CU begins MEC play against two familiar faces in West Virginia State and Charleston. The Maroon and Gray split the season series 2-2 with WVSU last spring and was 1-3 against UC. Hollis led the Mountain Lions offensively against the Yellow Jackets, picking up seven hits in four outings. Hollis also tossed 14.0 innings against West Virginia State, finishing with a 1-1 record while allowing three earned runs and fanning five WVSU hitters. Concord picked up a win over nationally-ranked Charleston on the road last year to end the series against the Golden Eagles. Raines had two hits in the game with an RBI and sophomore infielder

WVSU went 3-1 at the Glenville State Invitational and 4-2 at the Fast Pitch Dreams Spring Classic to begin the season. The Yellow Jackets are led offensively by redshirt freshman catcher Kylie Price and sophomore outfielder Sydney Shamblin batting .457 and .429, respectively. Junior pitcher Kaleigh Murphy is 4-2 in the circle with a team-best 3.89 ERA.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Charleston enters the weekend with the top hitting offense and pitching staff in the MEC. UC swept all four games at the Glenville State Invitational and split three doubleheaders against California (Pa.), Seton Hill, and Pitt-Johnsown. Senior utility Kayla Moran is hitting .448 with a pair of home runs and senior infielder Lindsey Phares is slashing .444 with a 1.323 OPS. All three Golden Eagles' pitchers have a sub-three ERA with junior pitcher Addison Mass sporting a 5-0 record.
