SALEM, Va. – The Concord University women's track & field team competed in its final indoor regular season meet of the season Saturday at the Joe LaRocco Invite at Roanoke College.
The top finisher for the Mountain Lions was junior
Emma Jenkins in the 800-meter run as she placed eighth in a showing of 2:30.55.
Concord had a pair of personal-record times in the mile run. Sophomore
Sara Turner stopped the clock at 5:44.91 to finish 22
nd. Freshman
Kate Kelly was a spot behind Turner as she came through in 5:45.26.
Junior
Lilly Jackson had a mark of 4.74 meters in the long jump to finish 15
th.
In the shot put, sophomore
Meagan Poticher tossed 9.99 meters, placing 19
th. Graduate student
Abbey Wallace finished 21
st with a mark of 9.75 meters.
The Mountain Lions now turn their attention to the Mountain East Conference Indoor Championships February 23-24 at the Cline Indoor Track Complex on the campus of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
