ATHENS, W.Va. – Wintry weather in southern West Virginia has forced schedule changes for the Concord University baseball team this weekend.
The Mountain Lions were slated to open the home portion of their schedule this weekend, February 15-16, with a three-game series versus Pitt-Johnstown. However, several inches of accumulating snow has caused the Concord-UPJ series to be cancelled altogether and will not be made up.
As a replacement, CU will face East Stroudsburg in a doubleheader in Cary, North Carolina 9:00 a.m. Friday.
Concord is 2-1 this season after winning its first series of the year at Mars Hill. Friday will be ESU's first games of the season.
A complete preview of Friday's twinbill will be posted Thursday.Â
