EDINBORO, Pa. – Junior defensive back
Nehemiah Scott of the Concord University football team has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's (D2CCA) All-Super Region One Second Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Scott, a native of Richmond, Virginia, becomes CU's first all-region player in the defensive backfield since Concord Athletics Hall of Fame Member Jeremiah Johnson in 2017. Other highlights in 2025 for the two-year starter at nickelbacker include racking up 10 tackles and five PBUs in the season opener at UVa.-Wise (Aug. 30), registering six tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a win over West Liberty (Sept. 27) and notching eight tackles, four for loss and 1.5 sacks in a win over West Virginia Wesleyan (Oct. 25) that led to him being named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week.
Scott had 10 or more tackles in five games, and recorded at least one tackle for loss in seven games.
Scott was one of nine MEC Players on the All-Super Region One Teams.
Virginia Union running back Curtis Allen who is also a finalist for the Harlon Hill Award was the Super Region One Offensive Player of the Year. Geno Facchetti of Franklin Pierce was tabbed as the Super Region One Defensive Player of the Year.
