LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore defensive back
Ar'Terrian Godfrey of the Concord University football team has been named the D2Football.com National Special Teams Player of the Week, the publication has released.
Godfrey put a punctation on his season in Concord's 56-34 win at Ferrum to close the 2025 campaign Saturday afternoon. Godfrey racked up three tackles and his third interception of the season. But, his greatest impact was felt on special teams where he blocked two kicks—CU's third phase blocked three total kicks in the contest. Godfrey's third-quarter blocked punt landed in the end zone for him to jump on for a touchdown.
The Palatka, Florida native is Concord's first D2Football.com National Player of the Week since October 2022 when former running back Thurlow Wilkins earned the distinction.
Northern Michigan running back Noah Dobert and Kutztown defensive lineman Brayden Pohlman were the D2Football.com National Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week in the final week of the regular season.
