BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - Junior outside hitter
Meg Williams of the Concord University volleyball team has been selected to the All-Mountain East Conference Tournament Team with the conclusion of the MEC Volleyball Tournament late Saturday evening.
Williams, a Shady Spring, West Virginia native, helped the Mountain Lions get back to the MEC Semifinals for a second straight year. She racked up 32 kills and 33 digs in two postseason matches. She also added six blocks over nine sets of action.
In Concord's five-set win over West Liberty in the MEC Quarterfinals, Williams went for a season-high 20 kills to go with 17 digs. In CU's semifinal round match versus Charleston, Williams added 12 kills and 16 digs in collecting her 13
th double-double of the season.
The announcement is the second straight year that Williams has been a member of the All-MEC Tournament Team.
