INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team lost on the road to West Virginia State, 2-1, Sunday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at Dickerson Stadium.
The Mountain Lions (7-5-3, 6-3-3 MEC) outshot WVSU (11-3-1, 10-1-1 MEC) by three (11-8), but was unable to find a second-half goal after West Virginia State took a 2-1 lead in the 36

The third and final goal of the first half was also off a set piece when West Virginia State blasted a free kick into the back of the net from just inside 25 yards.
Seven of the 11 shots for CU came in the first half as sophomore midfielder
