LAST TIME OUT
The Mountain Lion women finished 13th at Muskingum last weekend. Freshman Cassidy Hammonds led the way for CU as she was the runner-up in the long jump with a mark of 5.12 meters. She ran a career-best time in the 60-meter hurdles, sprinting 9.84 seconds—ninth best in the Mountain East Conference. Fellow freshman Cierra Parker jumped 1.51 meters in the high jump to place fifth. The quartet of Hammonds, Parker, freshman Jenna Webb and sophomore Izzy Williams ran a conversion of 4:26.68 in the 4x400-meter relay to get their qualifying time for the MEC Indoor Championships. Junior Emma Jenkins was eighth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:37.68 while freshman Kate Kelly was 10th in 2:36.56.

Concord's men's team placed seventh at Muskingum. Senior Ethan Board clocked 1:08.67 in the 500-meter dash as he collected an individual win. Sophomore Braden Ward notched a pair of third-place finishes. Ward ran 2:00.69 in the 800-meter run, the eighth-fastest time in the MEC this winter. And in the mile, Ward ran 4:30.79. Senior Logan Zuchelli crossed in 8:46.67 in the 3,000-meter run, good enough for fourth at Muskingum. The time is also sixth best in the MEC this season. At Virginia Tech, senior Ian Gardner broke the school record in the 300-meter dash as he crossed the stripe in 35.41 seconds, shattering a 23-year old program record.

BAST-CREGGER INVITE ENTRIES
Hammonds will try her hand in the pentathlon this weekend. The quartet of freshman Megan Canterbury, Parker, Webb and Williams seek to improve on their 4x400-meter relay to close the meet Saturday. Already with qualifiers in the 5,000-meter run for the MEC Indoor Championships, senior Madison Cornett and junior Katy Walkup look to do the same in the 3,000-meters. The duo is seeded under 11 minutes. Currently, the cutoff in the MEC in the event is 11:01.58. Also in the event is sophomore Sara Turner and junior Emma Londeree. Williams leads four Mountain Lions in the 200-meter dash as she is seeded at 25.79 seconds. Canterbury, Webb and freshman Kendall Lilly are also scheduled for the 200-meters.

Relays will be at the forefront of the action for the CU men. Two different distance medley relays will be on the track, going after a qualifier in the event for the MEC Indoor Championships. The first team is made up of freshman Brandon Canaday, sophomore Bramley Childress, freshman Garrett Kinder and Ward. The second unit will be Board, freshman Reese Hickey, junior Alex Irvin and sophomore AJ Skeens. The eight athletes will be mixed and matched in the 4x800-meter relay. Gardner looks to improve on his 11th place time in the MEC in the 200-meter (22.47 seconds). Also seeded under 24 seconds in the event are freshmen Brady Prior (22.67 seconds), Landon Meredith (23.20 seconds) and Jaden Judge (23.70 seconds).
