BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Concord University men's cross country team finished fifth at the Virginia Tech Invite hosted at the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course Friday evening.
The Mountain Lions recorded 118 points and missed beating out Lenoir-Rhyne for fourth place by two points.
Sophomore
Braden Ward led the way for CU by finished 23
rd in a time of 18:45.1 for 6,000-meters. Senior
Logan Zuchelli was just off Ward's pace with a showing of 18:47.5 which was good enough for 25
th. Next through for Concord was sophomore
Andrew Tickle who stopped the timer at 19:14.0, placing 40
th.

Alex Irvin secured 44
th in a time of 19:21.0.
Sophomore
AJ Skeens was the final scoring runner for Concord as he finished 56
th in 20:08.2. Freshman
Reese Hickey was one spot behind in 20:09.0.
Senior
Zach Wilson (21:00), sophomore
Garrett Hatcher (21:02), sophomore
Wes Holcomb (21:10.8), junior
Connor Cormack (21:12.1) and freshman
Brandon Canaday (21:12.9) were all bunched together.

Bryce Legg clocked 21:27.5. The rest of the CU field was freshman
