PARIS – Concord University men's track & field alumnus Jonathan Gore will be in action at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games Sunday afternoon as he competes in the 100-meter dash trials in the T64 classification.

When: The first round of the 100-meter dash will be at 3:23 p.m. EDT Sunday afternoon
How to Watch: Peacock (NBC streaming service)
Where: Stade de France, Paris
Advancement: If Gore moves onto the 100-meter dash finals, that race would be contested at 1:46 p.m. EDT Monday afternoon.

The Field
Gore placed seventh in the T64 100-meter dash three years ago at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. Just like three years ago, the field is strong with all three medal winners returning to the track with Germany's Felix Streng (Gold), Costa Rica's Sherman Isidro Guity Guity (Silver) and Great Britain's Jonnie Peacock (Bronze) all set to compete. A total of 18 sprinters are scheduled to get in the blocks, including Gore's American teammates Hunter Woodhall, an Arkansas alum, and Derek Loccident, a former football player at Division II school Central Oklahoma.

About Gore
The Fayetteville, West Virginia native is competing in his second Paralympic Games after finishing seventh in the T64 100-meter dash in Tokyo, and fourth in the 200-meter dash. Gore competed as an able body athlete at Concord from 2013-17 where he was the Mountain East Conference MVP in 2017 and is a school record holder in the long jump, both indoor and outdoor. A catastrophic accident in 2018 forced the amputation of Gore's left leg below the knee.
