ATHENS, W.Va. – Over the last few years at the conclusion of the academic year, the Concord University Sports Information Department takes a look back at each sport's program success in the recently completed season in an "Inside the Numbers" series.
Continuing with the fall sport teams is men's soccer
1.07- Goals-against average for
Keegan Grant, the best for a single season in program history
3- Field players that started all 20 games in the fall:
Fabian Amhof,
Kai Forsyth and
Dwight Savoury.
4- Forsyth became the fourth all-region in program history when he earned the honor from the United Soccer Coaches.
5- By coming back from a 2-1 deficit and defeating Wheeling 3-2 in early October, it was the first time in five years Concord overcame a deficit of 2-1 and went on to win.
6- Assists by
Andre Nicholson which was tied for third in the Mountain East Conference.
7- Goal scorers for the Mountain Lions across 25 total goals.
23- Years between conference postseason appearances for CU. This year included the program's first conference tournament win ever.
28- Concord went 28 days and nine consecutive games from September 27-October 25 without a loss. The Mountain Lions were 6-0-3 over that stretch.
110- Nicholson's goal versus West Virginia Wesleyan in the MEC Tournament came in the 110
th minute which was the latest goal in program history.
