LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Junior utility
Kylee Stacy and junior infielder
Courtney Raines have been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) Division II All-Atlantic Region Second Team, the NFCA announced Thursday afternoon.
This is the first NFCA All-Region awards for both Stacy and Raines. Stacy landed on the all-region team as a utility player as she appeared in the starting lineup at second base, third base and shortstop as well as right field this spring. Raines, Concord's starting second baseman in 53 of 54 games, was selected at her primary position.
Stacy led CU with a .439 batting average this spring, hitting five doubles, four triples, and driving in 10 RBI. The Green Cove Springs, Fla. Native added a Concord single-season record 26 stolen bases and finished the year with 79 total hits, one shy of tying the program single-season record for hits. She tallied 21 multi-hit games and notching a career-best four hits four times. Overall, Stacy led the Mountain East Conference in total hits through regular season and tournament play, and ranks fourth in the Atlantic Region with NCAA Tournament play getting underway. She reached base in 13 straight contests to end the season with a three-hit performance in the MEC Tournament against Fairmont State.
Raines cracked an MEC-leading 16 doubles this season, the fourth most in a single season in program history. Additionally, the Salem, Virginia native was tied for fourth in the Atlantic Region in two-base hits. She led CU with 40 runs batted in, tied for the eighth most in the league. She finished her 2024 campaign with a .353 batting average, an on-base percentage of .417, and a slugging percentage of .500. In the field, Raines was sixth in the MC in assists with 97 and turned seven double plays. Raines had at least one RBI in 22 of 54 games played, and logged 11 multi-RBI contests.
Raines and Stacy were two of nine MEC players to make the All-Atlantic Teams. And the duo are the first all-region players for the program since 2021.
