CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Graduate student
Emily Wallace set the school record in the 5,000-meter run at the Lee Flames – Fast Break Invite Friday night at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.
Wallace broke her own school record from two years ago by 12 seconds as she clocked 17:35.64. She placed 12
th, and in the process ran the fastest 5,000-meters in the Mountain East Conference this spring.
The Dry Fork, Virginia native ran a time of 2:17.64 in the 800-meter run as she placed 16
th.
Also at Lee, senior
Alaina Mills had a throw of 26.72 meters in the javelin which was a season best. She finished 17
th.
Sophomore
Lilly Jackson was 25
th in the javelin with a mark of 24.31 meters. And in the long jump, Jackson had a leap of 4.54 meters to place 20
th.
Concord will host its home meet, the Concord Invite, Friday.
