ATHENS, W.Va. – For the first time since the 2019 Mountain East Conference Tournament, both the Concord University men's and women's basketball team have secured spots in the MEC Semifinals that will be played Saturday at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia.

The CU women got to the semifinal round after an 84-69 win over Frostburg State Thursday afternoon. The Mountain Lions now face Fairmont State 3:00 p.m. Saturday. The Concord men's team take on West Liberty in the semifinals 8:30 p.m. Saturday after scoring a 82-74 victory over Davis & Elkins Friday afternoon. Along with the game being streamed on the MEC Digital Network and WVMetronews, cable subscribers can find the game on SportsNet Pittsburgh, check your local listings.
