CALABASH, N.C. – The Concord University men's golf team finished 10
th at the Battle at Brunswick at Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort Friday and Saturday.
Due to weather, the tournament was reduced to 27 holes. The Mountain Lions had rounds of 337 and 166.
Junior
Indiana Eades was the top finisher for Concord as he finished at nine-over for the tournament, tying for 21
st. He carded an opening round 80 and then scored a one-over, 37 for nine holes in the second round.
Sophomore
David Gibb shot rounds of 85 and 42 to tie for 49
th.
Junior
Jacob Chittaphong had rounds of 85 and 45, finishing 56
th. Sophomore
Zan Hill was 58
th and junior
Peyton Watts tied for 59
th.
Wayne State rolled to the team title by 20 strokes over Emory & Henry, 431-451. WSU's Mat Hawryluk won the tournament by one stroke over teammate Ian Smith and E&H's Jordan Kaung Kyaw with a 27-hole total of 106.
The Mountain Lions compete at the UC Spring Invite March 25-16 at Edgewood Country Club in Charleston, West Virginia.
