2024-25 PREVIEW
The Mountain Lions feature 22 freshmen on the roster (12 men, 10 women). However, plenty of experience return for head coach Mike Cox. Among the top returners for the Mountain Lions is sophomore Nadiyah Abdussalaam who earned All-Mountain East Conference in the indoor pentathlon last winter. Junior Lilly Jackson had a strong finish to the outdoor season as she scored points in the long jump and javelin at the MEC Championships. The distance performers are led by senior Madison Cornett and junior Katy Walkup. Sophomore Izzy Williams spearheads CU's sprints effort.

For the Concord men, senior Logan Zuchelli is the top return for the distance crew. Sophomore Braden Ward is coming off an All-MEC cross country season and made a strong push during the outdoor track season. Senior Ian Gardner is a multi-time All-MEC performer in the 400-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay. Fellow senior Ethan Board was All-MEC in the 4x400-meter relay during the 2024 outdoor season.
