BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Concord University men's cross country team finished 18
th out of 38 teams in the Paul Short Run Brown Race Saturday afternoon.
Concord tallied 503 points. The winner was fellow Mountain East Conference school Davis & Elkins. Kent State's Baidy Ba was the individual winner in a time of 24:22.
The top finisher for CU was senior
Logan Zuchelli who crossed in 25:29 and finished 32
nd in the field of 313 runners. Next through for CU was sophomore
Braden Ward who clocked 26:05 for the 8,000-meter course and placed 71
st. Junior
Alex Irvin stopped the timer at 26:29 as he finished 114
th.
Senior
Ethan Board ran 26:47 and placed 137
th. The final scoring runner for the Mountain Lions was sophomore
Andrew Tickle who ran 27:22 for 181
st. Sophomore
AJ Skeens (27:57) and freshman
Brandon Canaday (28:05) were the sixth and seventh Concord runners.
Freshman
Reese Hickey (28:14), sophomore
Garrett Hatcher (29:00) and sophomore
Wes Holcomb (29:10) wrapped up the Concord athletes competing.
CU is back on the course Friday, October 11 at the Royals XC Challenge at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
