8 FOR 88
The Mountain Lions are coming off their most prolific scoring game in nearly two years as it notched eight goals in an 8-2 win over Fairmont State Wednesday. Seven different Concord players accounted for the scoring as freshman midfielder Wilma Hedenberg recorded her first career brace, a two-goal game, in the victory. It was the second consecutive game that a CU player has netted a brace after junior forward Sydney Tucker did the same versus Glenville State Sunday. In picking up the six-goal victory, head coach Luke Duffy won his 88th game at Concord which surpassed Steve Barrett (1999-2007) for the most victories in program history. Among active MEC coaches, only Frostburg State's Brian Parker (266) NDC's Mike Shiels (198) have accumulated more wins than Duffy.

TAKING CONTROL
Historically, West Virginia Wesleyan has controlled the all-time series with Concord, but over the last four years the Mountain Lions have closed the gap in a series that is led 23-7-6 by WVWC. Since the beginning of 2019, CU is 4-1-1 against the Bobcats as it has outscored Wesleyan 20-5 in those six meetings. Graduate defender Olivia Bekeleski and graduate midfielder Michelle Brogden both have three career points versus Wesleyan. Junior midfielder Anna Davis, sophomore midfielder Jessica Neville and junior forward Nora Voisey all scored against the Bobcats last year. CU blanked Wesleyan at home, 4-0, after winning 5-1 on the road early in the season.

UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY
Sunday will be the just the second time that CU has traveled to Notre Dame since the end of the 2018 season. The Mountain Lions won 4-0 on the road at the end of the 2021 season. Brogden scored one of the four goals in the victory. Notre Dame has been tricky for Concord in the all-time series as the Maroon and Gray has only been victorious four times against the Falcons in 17 tries. Last year, the teams played to a 1-1 draw despite the Mountain Lions owning a 14-5 advantage in shots. Neville tallied the second-most shots with three.
