NEW ORLEANS – The Concord University men's cross country team remained fifth in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Atlantic Regional Poll for a second consecutive week, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
The only movement in the poll was Slippery Rock climbing two spots to second while Shippensburg dropped from second to fourth. Three Mountain East Conference schools, Charleston (first), Davis & Elkins (third) and Concord (fifth), all maintained their spots in the top five. Indiana (Pa.), Lock Haven, California (Pa.), Kutztown and East Stroudsburg all held down their respective positions in spots six through ten.
The Mountain Lions were off from competition last week, but will return to the course 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Southeast Regional Preview Meet hosted by North Georgia in Oakwood, Georgia.
