BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team scored a season-high six goals in a shutout victory of Glenville State Sunday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at the YMCA Cline Complex.
Five different Mountain Lions (3-2-1, 3-1 MEC) accounted for the goals as junior forward
Kylene Franklin got the scoring started in the 14
th minute on an assist from freshman midfielder
Wilma Hedenberg. It was Franklin's first career goal.
CU then used two goals in the 34
th and 35
th minutes to break the contest open. Graduate midfielder
Michelle Brogden scored off a pass from junior forward
Sydney Tucker before Brogden's corner kick found sophomore midfielder
Reeanna Cook for a header goal.
Tucker concluded the scoring in the first half as she tallied an unassisted goal 35 seconds before halftime. In scoring, Tucker was able to take on multiple GSU (2-3-2, 1-3-1 MEC) defenders as she dribbled down the left side of the field before shooting.
Tucker recorded her first career multi-goal game with a double-assisted goal in the 70

Alexa Todd tallied the assists.
And graduate defender
Olivia Bekeleski wrapped up the scoring up as she poked in a goal after Glenville State was unable to clear one of the six CU corners on the afternoon in the 72
nd minute.
Tucker finished with five points on the day while Brogden had four (one goal, two assists).
The Mountain Lions owned a 29-2 advantage in total shots. Twelve of the shots for Concord were on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper
Sarah Pattillo saved the only GSU shot on target.
Todd led all players with six shots in the game while Tucker had four off the bench.
Concord continues its three-game homestand 1:00 p.m. Wednesday versus Fairmont State.
