Caitlin Webster opened MEC play with a two-goal game as she scored twice in the first half in a 2-1 win over West Virginia State Wednesday afternoon. Webster joined graduate midfielder
Michelle Brogden and junior forward
Nora Voisey as active CU players with two-goal games. Brogden's most recent two-goal game came against West Liberty last season at home. Voisey had a hat trick in last October's win over Glenville State. With her scoring prowess, Webster is now tied for second in the MEC in goals scored this season with two.
CONTINUE THE TREND
Despite dropping a 2-1 decision at home last season to D&E, Concord rebounded to win 4-3 on the road versus the Senators. The Mountain Lions have won eight of the last nine games against Davis & Elkins dating back to the 2012 season. In the wins, CU has outscored D&E 26-5. Graduate defender
Olivia Bekeleski scored her first career goal versus Davis & Elkins in last year's home game. At Davis & Elkins, Concord jumped out to a 4-0 lead before holding off the Senators by a goal to split the two regular-season games.
REVENGE ON THE MIND
CU lost the season series to Charleston in 2022, 2-1, as the Golden Eagles eliminated Concord from the MEC Tournament in the quarterfinal round a season ago, 2-1. Junior midfielder
Leah Fleming scored in a road win at Charleston on September 18 last year. The Mountain Lions were shutout, 1-0, last year at home by UC. And the MEC Tournament fell in favor to Charleston, 2-1. Sophomore midfielder
Reeanna Cook accounted for the Concord goal with a penalty kick in the 84
th minute. It was part of a strong finish to last season for Cook who scored two of her four goals in 2022 in the final four games.

Davis & Elkins has been outscored 17-1 in its three losses this season, but most recently tied Glenville State, 1-1. Jimena Guerrero and Madison Rose are responsible for the goals this season for the Senators. Three different goalkeepers have been in net for the D&E. Gabriela Acevedo was in goal for the 1-1 tie against Glenville State.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
UC is receiving votes in the Division II Top 25 National Poll. Charleston and Concord have two mutual opponents as the Golden Eagles tied Kutztown 1-1 to start the season and defeated Gannon 4-1 with GU playing with 10 players for more than 75 minutes. Laura Vierhout has scored two goals and tallied two assists. Lina Jaime has a goal and team-best three assists. UC will play at Glenville State Sunday before hosting Concord.
