KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Concord University women's soccer team has been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) for their work in the classroom during the 2022-23 school year.
CU was listed on the College Team Academic Awards Wednesday afternoon after they posted a team GPA of 3.37 last academic year. To qualify, programs needed to have a team GPA of at least 3.0.
Individually, the Mountain Lions had five players earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District laurels with
Olivia Bekeleski,
Zoe Belding,
Rachel Bell,
Leah Foster and
Courtney Smith being named to the team. At season's end, 20 players earned All-MEC Academic recognition for their work in the classroom in the fall of 2022.
USC annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
