ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team has announced the dates for its annual kids' camp to run July 31 through August 4 at Callaghan Stadium.
The day camp will be broken into two different age divisions.
The first option is the Lil Lion's Camp which is open to boys and girls ages 3-5. It will run from 9-11 a.m. daily, and the cost is $50.
Boys and girls ages 6-15 are welcome to attend a full day camp or half day camp. The cost for the half day camp is $80 per camper while full days are $130 for the entirety of the camp. Lunch is not provided. Full day campers must bring a packed lunch. All campers will receive a free shirt and medal at the end of the week.
The camp session will be broken into different techniques and areas of the game on a daily basis. Monday's focus will be speed, agility and attacking the goal. Tuesday's drills key in on passing. 1-on-1 drills highlight Wednesday. Finishing Thursday allows campers to work on scoring. The camp concludes with small tournament play Friday.
Awards will be given out to camper of the week, most improved and camp champions.
