TOP OF THE ORDER
The Mountain Lions won three out of four games over the weekend with a sweep of Wheeling before going 1-1 versus West Liberty. Freshman infielder
Lacie Lewis and sophomore utility
Kylee Stacy paced the CU offense. Lewis batted .667 (10-for-15) in the four games. She elevated her average to .372 as she notched her second four-hit game of the season versus Wheeling Friday. In MEC games only, Lewis is hitting .403 which is ninth in the conference. Meanwhile, Stacy became the second player in program history to hit for the cycle as she accomplished the feat versus West Liberty Saturday. Stacy hit her first career home run to complete the cycle, on her way to being the MEC Player of the Week.
RARE FEATS
Stacy's cycle was the first for the Mountain Lions since Kristen McClure in 2010. On Friday versus Wheeling, sophomore outfielder/pitcher
Rachael Koller hit an inside-the-park grand slam as part of a five-RBI game for the Columbus, Ohio native. The inside-the-park home run was the first for CU since Lauren Lewis, Lacie's older sister, during the 2016 season. Against West Liberty, CU posted its second mercy rule win of the season, and first since March 10 versus Bluefield State. Along with Stacy's cycle, Concord got three hits from Lewis, two more from freshman catcher
Morgan Gleason and a two-RBI game from senior catcher/outfielder
Jolie Privett—her first multi-RBI game since March 9 versus Salem.
END THE STREAK
CU lost both games at Glenville State earlier this season, 1-0 in eight innings and 2-1. Dating back to last year, GSU has won four straight games against the Mountain Lions. All four games have been decided by a run. The last nine games in the all-time series have been won by the home team. Sophomore pitcher
Caitlyn Bauer tossed seven innings and gave up an unearned run while striking out seven in the 1-0 game in late March. Junior pitcher
Nancy-Jo Roberts tallied five strikeouts in six innings in game two. Freshman catcher
Lorelai Ellerby was the only player with hits in both games for the Maroon and Gray at Glenville State March 29.
