CONCORD AT A GLANCE
Overall Record: 1-3
Home Record: 1-1
Away Record: 0-2

WELCOME TO THE CLUB
Last Wednesday, graduate infielder Sarah Thompson became the ninth player in program history with 100 RBI as she helped lead CU's comeback win over Tusculum at home. Thompson is now just eight RBI away from breaking into the top six in program history. Additionally, the Prince George, Virginia native is four RBI away from passing former teammate Abby Beatty for seventh on the all-time list at Concord. Meanwhile, sophomore pitcher Caitlyn Bauer is four strikeouts away from becoming the eighth pitcher in program history with 150 strikeouts. The Lexington, North Carolina native tossed seven scoreless innings of relief versus Tusculum last time out, amassing nine strikeouts.

IT'S A WALKOFF WINNER
CU's first win of the season came in dramatic style as Concord erased deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 to down TU at home last week. Junior outfielder Imani Campbell scored the tying run in the bottom of the seventh on Thompson's RBI single—her 100th RBI—before a base hit from freshman first baseman Morgan Cline plated junior outfielder Delaney Fulk for the win. Fulk was directly involved in the Mountain Lions climbing out of their first hole with a solo home run to get CU on the board in the fifth. One of the three walkoff wins for the Maroon and Gray last season came at the Bearcat-Fleet Invite when sophomore pitcher/outfielder Rachael Koller scored on a wild pitch against Coker in an 8-7 victory.

BEARCAT/FLEET NOTES
The Mountain Lions went 1-3 at the Bearcat/Fleet Invite a season ago. Sophomore infielder Kylee Stacy was 3-for-4 with three runs scored in the win over Coker while senior catcher/outfielder Mikayah Pulliam drove in two runs. During the 2020 season, Concord went 3-2-1 in South Carolina as it split with Erskine—both one-run games. Concord won 3-2 and EC took a 7-6 decision. The Mountain Lions also had a tie with Lander three years ago when field conditions became unplayable with the score locked at 4-4. This weekend will be the first time in program history that CU plays Lenoir-Rhyne and USC-Beaufort.

OPPONENT RECORDS
Lincoln Memorial: 11-3
Erskine: 3-2
Lenoir-Rhyne: 7-0
USC-Beaufort: 4-2
Lander: 5-3

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
After an 11-1 start to the season, Lincoln Memorial lost a doubleheader to King Wednesday afternoon. Nine of the 11 wins for LMU have been mercy-shortened games. McKenzie Henry is hitting .571 with 17 RBI.

Erskine split a doubleheader with USC-Aiken Tuesday. Brooke Patterson has two home runs and four RBI early in the year. The Fleet went just 13-27 a season ago.

In its 7-0 start, Lenoir-Rhyne has outscored teams 46-12, and most recently defeated MEC school Davis & Elkins Friday and Saturday. Lauren Rakes hasn't allowed a run in 19 innings in the circle while tallying 35 strikeouts.

USC-Beaufort is in its first year as a Division II school, making the transition from NAIA. The Sand Sharks begin the weekend on a four-game winning streak. Ashlyn Alte has nine hits in 16 at-bats (.563 average) and has driven in six runs.

Lander is coming off a 35-15 campaign in 2022. The trio of Abbie Behe, Logan Coward and Naya Jones have combined for three home runs and 20 RBI. Bailey Pattison and Taylor Scott have each won two games in the circle.
