ATHENS, W.Va. – Unbeaten in its last four games, the Concord University women's soccer team hosts Wheeling 1:00 p.m. Wednesday before opposing Frostburg State on the road 5:30 p.m. Saturday in a pair of Mountain East Conference games.

Before being held goalless in a 0-0 tie Sunday at Notre Dame, the Mountain Lions had netted five or more goals in the previous four games. Alexa Todd has recorded two goals and three assists in the last four games as she tied for second in the MEC in assists with four.
SEEING RED
The all-time series between Concord and Wheeling has been evenly played until recently. Concord has won seven straight games over WU to take a four-game lead (16-12-4) in the series. HIGH STAKES GAME
Concord and Frostburg State meet for just the sixth time Saturday in what will be a tilt between the second-place team in the MEC South and the MEC North-leading Bobcats. Each of the last two meetings has featured one side being nationally-ranked. The Mountain Lions defeated FSU last October, 3-1, when the Bobcats was ranked 17
th nationally. Brogden scored the first CU goal of the afternoon. The sides squared off in the MEC Championship Game in 2021 when Concord was 12
th nationally. The Mountain Lions won that contest 1-0. CU's last visit to Frostburg State was at the beginning of the 2021 season, a 2-0 CU victory.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
WU ended a five-game winless streak with a convincing 6-3 home win over Davis & Elkins Sunday afternoon. Talynn DeBartolo and Nyah Smith have both scored five goals this season while Mary DiFonzo and Medina Doka have both tallied four goals. Olivia Kqira has started eight games in net for the Cardinals. Wheeling hasn't made the conference postseason since 2010 as it currently two points out of a top four spot in the MEC North.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Frostburg State was dealt its first loss of the fall with a 1-0 loss at home against Charleston Saturday. The Bobcats have been in-and-out of the national polls this season and are currently receiving votes in the Top 25. A typical stingy defense, FSU has only allowed three goals in nine games. Longtime Frostburg State striker Ton Fiocco-Mizer has five goals as does Madison Allen. Goalkeeper Ashley Bilger leads the FSU backline as she has saved 80 percent of shots faced while sporting a 0.41 goals-against average.
