NEW ORLEANS – The Concord University women's cross country team was announced All-Academic by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic, the organization released Thursday afternoon.

CU also landed three individuals, graduate student
Hannah Altizer, sophomore
Madison Cornett and senior
Emily Wallace, on the USTFCCCA's All-Academic list for individual student-athletes.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

The Mountain Lions combined for a 3.60 GPA during the fall semester.

To earn academic recognition from the USTFCCCA individuals, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

Wallace earned All-Atlantic Region in performance for a second straight season while Altizer was in the top 35 at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship. Cornett finished in the top 75 of the regional meet in November.
