PIPESTEM, W.Va. – The Concord University women's cross country team had the first four finishers at the Concord Alumni Friday afternoon at Pipestem State Park as it won the meet with a score of 18.
Senior
Emily Wallace ran to the win as she cruised in a time of 20:07 for the 5,000-meter course. Sophomore
Erin O'Sullivan claimed the runner-up spot by finished in 20:49. Fifth-year senior
Hannah Altizer was third as she clocked 21:24, and freshman
Katy Walkup came through in 21:55 to round the top four for CU.
Freshman
Savannah Cunningham was Concord's fifth scoring runner as she crossed the tape in 23:56 to finish eighth. Freshman
Katherine Webb placed 13
th while senior
Maggie Thompson was 14
th.
The Mountain Lions have consecutive weeks off before competing at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University September 30.
