PIPESTEM, W.Va. – The Concord University men's cross country team eased its way to a team win at the Concord Alumni Friday afternoon at Pipestem State Park.
The Mountain Lions totaled 15 points in the win.
Fifth-year senior
Issac Prather picked up his second individual win to start the season as he clocked a time 25:44 for the 8,000-meter distance. His brother, junior
Preston Prather, was the next finisher as he ran a time of 26:55. Fifth-year senior
Cedric Drennen helped the Maroon and Gray sweep the top three as he finished in 27:24.
Sophomore
Logan Zuchelli finished in 27:50 to place fifth while junior
Caleb Hatcher (sixth / 28:34), senior
Alex Watty (seventh / 28:37) and sophomore
Ethan Board (ninth / 29:08) rounded out the Mountain Lions in the top 10.
Freshman
Alex Irvin (30:01) was 12
th, sophomore Zack Wilson (30:08) was 13
th and freshman
Jamie Wall (30:56) was 15
th. Junior
Isaiah Jackson-Darby followed in 16
th as he stopped the timer at 32:26.
Sophomores
Bryce Legg (18

Luke Ruhnke (21
st) rounded out the CU finishers on Friday.
Concord has a two-week break from competition as it travels to Lehigh's Paul Short Invite September 30.
