NEW FACES, NEW PLACES

CU has 49 new players on this year's roster with seven different countries represented by the newest Mountain Lions. Head coach Luke Duffy assumed the role of men's soccer head coach over the winter as he will coach both Concord soccer teams this fall. His two assistant coaches are familiar as the program's all-time leader in saves, Kyle Brown, joined the staff along with Adrian Cabello who played in 48 games from 2018-21.

OLD FACES, SAME PLACES
The Mountain Lions do return five players that scored at least one goal last season in senior midfielder Michael Shelor who found the back of the net three times. Fifth-year senior defender Tristan Bragg scored against Wheeling at home, sophomore defender Esteban Correa recorded a goal versus West Virginia Wesleyan and junior forward Robbie Stiles and junior defender Ezequiel Villarreal also scored once last fall.

DEFENSIVE STRUGGLES
The last four meetings between Concord and King has featured two goals or less, including King getting a 2-0 win last season. The Maroon and Gray scored a 1-0 win at home in 2019 over King as Brown helped secure the win with six saves. CU and Frostburg State have met three times with the Mountain Lions as the home team, but only four goals have been scored in those games. Concord dropped a 2-1 decision at home last season to FSU with Shelor netting the CU goal in the 81st minute to tie the game. Villarreal tallied two shots on goals in last season's home matchup with Frostburg State. Concord picked up a 1-0 win over the Bobcats in the spring of 2021.
