Griffith Added to Women's Basketball Staff

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head women's basketball Tesla Southcott has announced the addition of Lily Griffith to the program's coaching staff.

Griffith will serve as Concord's GRIP and study hall coordinator in her graduate assistant role with the athletic department.

The Gray, Tennessee native had a stellar career at Milligan College in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

During her senior season, Griffith appeared in 32 of 33 games for the Buffaloes as she averaged 10.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while helping lead Milligan to the conference tournament championship game, and a record of 25-8. Overall, Griffith averaged 9.2 points per game for her career while shooting 40 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line. She appeared in 88 career games and made 76 starts.

Griffith is the second addition to Southcott's coaching staff since she was named head coach in late May. The first-year head coach selected former Concord standout Madison May to be the program's top assistant coach.
