MEC TOURNAMENT SCENARIOS
Concord enters the weekend with a one-game lead on Glenville State for second place in the MEC South, and two games ahead of West Virginia State. CU is 29-15-1 overall and 18-10 in the conference. Glenville State is 29-13 this season and 17-11 against the MEC.
The Mountain Lions can clinch an MEC Tournament berth by winning three games regardless of outcome from the WVSU-Charleston series.
However, CU can also clinch a spot with two wins AND Charleston not getting swept by West Virginia State.
A third scenario is Concord winning one game AND West Virginia State winning no more than two games.
RUNNING OUT ON THE FIELD FOR THE SENIOR GAME
Prior to Monday's doubleheader, outfielder
Brandon Bayne, pitcher
Gabe Garcia, pitcher
Dan Nicholls and infielder
Anthony Stehlin will be honored on Senior Day.
Bayne, a native of Las Vegas has appeared in 62 career games with 38 starts since the beginning of the 2020 season. Bayne has 18 career RBI, and hit his first career home run earlier this season against Alderson Broaddus.

Nicholls has pitched in 22 games with 68 innings on the mound, averaging a strikeout per inning. This season, the Jacksonville, Florida native has a 2-1 mark with 30 strikeouts in 31 innings.
An integral part of those 111 wins since 2018, Stehlin has been a two-time all-region performer. He was the 2021 MEC Player of the Year as well as an All-American selection. BRING EM HOME
After being quieted in the first three games of the Charleston series, the MEC's top offense erupted for a season-high 24 runs in the final game at UC. It marked the fifth time this season that the Mountain Lions scored 20 or more runs. Junior outfielder
Kyle Keenan picked up his team-best fifth game of the season with at least four RBI. Fellow junior outfielder
Josh Adkins added his second career four-hit game, and first since March 12, 2020. Junior catcher
Hunter Steel drove in a career-best three runs. Sophomore infielder

DOWN TO THE WIRE
CU is seeking to qualify for the conference tournament for the 24
th straight season. Although last year the streak nearly ended, had it not been for a two-run walk-off single from Stehlin in the bottom of the seventh in the final game of the season to lift Concord to a 10-9 win over Glenville State. In each of the last two seasons (2019, 2021), the Mountain Lions have needed two wins in the season's final series to secure an MEC Tournament berth. Over the last two completed seasons, Stehlin has had some of his best games at season's end. Stehlin was 7-for-14 against GSU last season with two doubles and five RBI. Versus UVa.-Wise in 2019, Stehlin batted 7-for-13 with two more doubles and three RBI. In his only start against Glenville State, sophomore pitcher
Eddie Blake received a no-decision in a 3-2 loss last spring. Blake tossed six innings as he allowed a run on four hits and struck out three.
GLENVILLE STATE AT A GLANCE
