TOKYO – Concord University cross country and track & field assistant coach
Jonathan Gore advanced to the final of the 100-meter dash in the T64 category of the Paralympic Games Sunday evening at Tokyo's Olympic Stadium.
Gore crossed in 11.20 seconds of his heat to claim of the two at-large spots in Monday's final. The top three from each heat plus the next two-fastest times moved on in the 100-meters. The Fayetteville, West Virginia native relied on his time after placing fourth in his heat.
The medal 100-meters will be 7:43 a.m. eastern time (8:43 p.m. Tokyo) Monday. Once again, Concord University cross country and track & field head coach
Mike Cox will host a watch party in Room 405 of the Carter Center for the Monday race. The capacity for the room is approximately 50 people.
Gore will be joined by his American teammates Jarryd Wallace and Hunter Woodhall in the final along with Germany's Johannes Floors, Costa Rica's Sherman Guity Guity, South Africa's Mpumelelo Mhlongo, Great Britain's Jonnie Peacock and Germany's Felix Streng
