Charleston opened up its season with a 4-0 home win over Glenville State.

HAT TRICK
Junior forward Leah Foster is the reigning Mountain East Conference Player of the Week after she began the season with a three-goal game against WVSU for the fourth hat trick of her career. The Wigan, England native is now up to 28 career goals at CU which is sixth in program history. Additionally, Foster's 28 goals are the eighth most among active players in Division II. In her career, Foster has four goals in five games against UC as well as a game-winning assist as a freshman in a 1-0 double overtime win in 2018.

ONE TIMERS
Sophomore forward Courtney Smith and junior midfielder Jasmine Daily each scored their first career goals in the victory at West Virginia State. After Foster's first-half hat trick, Smith—a West Virginia University transfer—tallied a goal in the 62nd minute while Daily had a goal in the 88th minute of her 22nd career game in the Maroon and Gray. Daily and Smith became the 18th and 19th different goal scorers for Concord since the start of the 2018 season.

MAN DOWN
Over the last two seasons, Concord is 4-0-1 against UC, including a season sweep of the Golden Eagles in the fall of 2019. Foster tallied one of the two goals in a 2-0 road win September 29, 2019. Sophomore defender Zoe Belding and senior defender Alyssa Mahar accounted for the assists. The two teams met 10 days later in Athens with the Mountain Lions scoring a 3-0 home win all while playing with 10 players for nearly 60 minutes of the 90-minute contest. Senior midfielder Elisha Robinson had one of her two goals during the season versus the Golden Eagles. Foster scored a goal and assisted on another. Sophomore midfielder Michelle Brogden and senior midfielder Yasmin Mosby also had assists.

CHARLESTON AT A GLANCE
Four different players accounted for goals in the win against Glenville State—Kassandra Demps, Kate Eddy, Rachel Osborne and Alex Speight. Shannon Henson started the season by recording two assists. Carol Burgess and Kaylee Hensley split the 90 minutes in goal with Hensley making the only save of the game for Charleston. Going back to the fall of 2019, the Golden Eagles are 4-4 in their last eight games. In 2019, UC was 7-3 at home, but just 2-6-1 in road contests.
