CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Concord University men's cross country team claimed second at the University of Charleston Invite Friday afternoon at Coonskin Park.
The Mountain Lions were nine points behind winner Charleston, 23-32.
Junior
Issac Prather rolled out a time of 24:24 as he was the winner of the meet. Prather's time is the fastest for 8,000-meters in program history.
Concord had an addition trio of runners finish in the top 10. Junior

Preston Prather (25:46) claimed spots six through eight for CU. Sophomore
Nate Leichner came through in 26:12 to finish 11
th.

Samuel Thomas just missed breaking 27 minutes for the 8,000-meter course as he placed 15
th in a showing of 27:01. Freshman
Caleb Hatcher rounded out the top seven for Concord in a time of 28:03, good enough for 23
rd.

Andrew Barbera clocked a time of 28:23 as he finished 26
th. Sophomore
John Casey (28

Raheem Williams (29
th / 28:49) also finished in the top 30.
