RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 7-15 after back-to-back wins over Alderson-Broaddus and West Virginia Wesleyan. CU is 3-10 versus the Mountain East Conference.
Davis & Elkins sports a mark of 12-12, but is 9-4 in the MEC.
Winston-Salem State enters the weekend with a record of 8-13.

LIMITED CHANCES
In the last two wins, CU held Alderson-Broaddus to a hitting percentage below .100 while WVWC hit into the negatives against the Maroon and Gray. It was the first time Concord forced an opponent to hit negative since a September 2018 road match against Bluefield State. Senior defensive specialist Kelli Ellison notched 27 digs versus Wesleyan which was six shy of her career. Though the Mountain Lions had just four blocks versus WVWC, part of the negative hitting was due in part to Concord recording a three-set season-high 64 digs. Freshman defensive specialist Kaylee Spees added 10 digs while freshman outside hitter Hannah Steele was one dig shy of a double-double.

SERVE IT UP
In the last two matches, Concord has tallied a total of 16 combined service aces including nine at Alderson-Broaddus. Senior setter Imani Rodgers has six aces in her last two contests while Spees contributed four in the win over West Virginia Wesleyan. Earlier this season, the Mountain Lions rolled up 10 service aces in a three-set loss versus Winston-Salem State. Steele tallied eight aces in the match, including seven straight during a narrow 25-23 first set loss. Spees had half of Concord's four aces in a four-set setback versus Davis & Elkins just under a month ago.

UP AGAINST THE BEST
The Mountain Lions will be tasked with slowing down one of the best hitters in the MEC Friday night in Macie Magallon. She leads the MEC in kills per set at 4.99 while teammate, Molly Jandris, is fifth in kills per set, 3.56. In the October matchup, CU kept Magallon in check in the first two sets as she had nine kills, but six errors. In the third and fourth games, Magallon had 11 kills to just two errors. The Mountain Lions were able to block Magallon twice in the match with sophomore middle hitter Csayjah Whitelow blocking her twice, and junior middle hitter Amber Hall assisted on one of Whitelow's blocks. While Hall is just outside the top 10 in the MEC in blocks per set, senior middle hitter Sheridan Herron ranks ninth at 0.78.

DAVIS & ELKINS AT A GLANCE
The Senators will be looking to stop a three-match losing streak. Because of Jandris and Magallon, Brilane Manchego is second in the conference in assists per set (9.94). Davis & Elkins hit .288 for the match against CU earlier this season, including over .300 in the final two sets. D&E gives up the second-fewest kills per set in the league (10.47).

WINSTON-SALEM STATE AT A GLANCE
Raven Gray collected a match-best 17 kills in WSSU's win inside the Carter Center earlier this season. The Rams overcame Concord's 10 aces with nine of their own. Besides Gray, the only other player for Winston-Salem with more than 100 kills this season is Sanaa Lanier.
