CONCORD ALUMNI NOTES
Just three teams will toe the line Friday afternoon as Bluefield State and Bluefield University both make short trek to Pipestem to race the Mountain Lions.
The race-by-race breakdown for the men's program dates back to the 2005 season, and every year since then Concord has either been first or second as a team at its own meet. Additionally, I. Prather is the individual defending champion as he crossed the finish line in 26:08 during the spring season for the 8,000-meter course.
The Mountain Lion women have had similar success at Pipestem, having been first or second in five of the last six years. As a freshman, Mills was the runner-up, and took eighth in the spring as she completed the 5,000-meter course in 23:05. Senior
Brittany Vaught was 12
th in the spring, and senior
Kyla Marshall was 13
th during the 2019 season at Pipestem.
