CHARLOTTE – The Concord University women's cross country team placed 24
th at the Queens City Invite Friday night at McAlpine Park.
Concord had 705 points and edged out Division I Coastal Carolina by one point for 24
th.
Freshman
Gretchen Mills led the way for Concord as she finished 88
th in a time of 20:21 for the 5,000-meter course.
Senior
Aidan Payton came through in 21:38 to finish 136
th. Junior
Kate Golinsky followed in 148
th with a showing of 22:03. Fellow junior
Lindsey Cummings ran 22:24 and finished 159
th. Rounding out the scoring runners for CU was sophomore
Kyla Marshall who finished the course in 23:41.
Junior
Josea Smith clocked a time of 25:00 while sophomore
Briana Parsons ran 26:18. Sophomore
Brittany Vaught came through In 27:13.
The Mountain Lions compete at the Paul Short Run October 5.
