ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team continues its early-season road trip as it travels to Charleston 1:00 p.m. Sunday for a Mountain East Conference game.

RECORDS
Concord is 5-1 overall after a 2-1 loss at West Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday. CU is 1-1 in league play.
Charleston has won three of its last four games and is now 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the MEC.
CONTROLLING THE FLOW
In the last three games, the Mountain Lions have outshot their opponents by an average of 24.6-5.6. CU owned an advantage of 21-6 in total shots in the road defeat against West Virginia Wesleyan. Of the 74 shots, Concord has fired off in the last three contests, freshman forward
Rachel Bell has 21, junior midfielder
Yasmin Mosby has added 15 while sophomore forward
Leah Foster has 10. The most shots that the Mountain Lions have allowed in the three games were seven to Davis & Elkins in a 1-0 CU win.
FLARE FOR THE DRAMATICS
In Saturday's 1-0 victory over Davis & Elkins, junior midfielder
Courtney Wallace scored her first goal of the season in the 14
th minute to put the Mountain Lions up. For Wallace, it ended up being her fourth career game-winning goal. The only other active players with multiple game-winning goals since 2017 is Foster and junior midfielder
Mira Kontio as well as Bell's three this year.
SHORT TURNAROUND
Concord and Charleston will meet Sunday for the first of two games this season. The second contest, back at CU, comes just 10 days later as the team's will square off October 9 at Anderson Field. Last season, the Mountain Lions and UC played three times with last two games coming in the matter of a three-day span. Concord went 2-0-1 against the Golden Eagles including winning the MEC Tournament game at CU. Foster scored two goals in the 4-2 MEC Tournament win. Concord also got a 1-0 double overtime victory at UC last season on the strength of a
Pilar Elias goal.
MIRROR IMAGE
Concord and Charleston have similar early-season score lines this season against mutual opponents. To start the season, both teams defeated Seton Hill 1-0. CU's win came on a Bell goal with less than 10 minutes left in the contest. Both squads have also had 1-0 finals against Davis & Elkins. However, Charleston's 1-0 final versus the Senators was a loss. The Mountain Lions were defeated by Wesleyan 2-1 while UC won by a goal over the Bobcats, 1-0.
CHARLESTON AT A GLANCE
Keira Hill and McKenna Sullivan have each scored a goal for UC this season. Hill has had added two assists. Goalkeeper Kaylee Hensley has made 27 saves and has recorded two shutouts on the season. Since losing 3-0 to Kutztown to open the season, the Golden Eagles have outscored their opponents 10-4 in six games. Concord holds a 17-9-3 advantage in the all-time series with UC.
