RECORDS
Concord is 4-0 this season having won its four contests by a combined score of 15-1.
Davis & Elkins opened up MEC play Thursday with a 1-0 win over Charleston to move to 2-1 on the year.

WELCOME TO THE SHOW
Freshman forward Rachel Bell has made quite the impression in her first four collegiate games by scoring seven goals including at least one goal in each game. Since the turn of the decade, the Mountain Lions have only had one player score double-digit goals in a single season—Pilar Elias—last season with 10. Bell has been joined in the early-season scoring by sophomore forward Leah Foster who has three goals—all three in a hat trick against Salem. Foster now has 12 career goals in just 24 games.

MOVING UP THE RANKS
Concord enters the weekend ranked fifth in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Atlantic Regional Poll. And the Mountain Lions are one of four teams left in the region that are undefeated. Additionally, CU is the only team in the MEC that has not been charged with a loss in 2019.

BRICK WALL
Concord has been stifling with its defensive play this season. Not only have the Mountain Lions allowed just one goal, but the Maroon and Gray has only surrendered nine shots on goal in four games. The backline defense of juniors Morgan Carmichael and Alyssa Mahar as well as sophomore Leigh Wightman have kept the opposition away from scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, junior goalkeeper Katie Maher and sophomore goalkeeper Leah Marsh have combined to produce eight saves while giving up the one goal in 282 minutes of time between the pipes. Other defenders that have seen time off the bench and been asked to keep the opponent off the scoreboard are sophomores Leah Jensen and Kate Weisman.

RENEWING THE SERIES
CU and Davis & Elkins have met 21 times previously and most recently in 2017 when Concord captured a 3-1 victory over the Senators. Overall, the Mountain Lions own the all-time series 14-7. In the latest Mountain Lions' win, junior midfielders Mira Kontio and Yasmin Mosby each scored for CU. For both players, it was their first career goals in their collegiate debut September 1, 2017. The last four meetings between the schools have been split dating back to the 2010 season.

DAVIS & ELKINS AT A GLANCE
Declan McGill, who is a 2015 alumni of Davis & Elkins, is in his first season as head coach of the Senators. To go with its 1-0 win over Charleston, Davis & Elkins has also defeated Caldwell this season. Asheli Freed has three goals and two assists on the season while Nariana Nealy has scored two goals and dished out one assists.
