BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Concord University women's cross country team finished fourth among Division II teams in the Paul Short Run White Race Saturday afternoon at Lehigh University.
Concord was 42
nd overall among the field.
Senior
Aidan Payton was the top runner for CU as she clocked a time of 25:39 on the 6,000-meter course. Junior
Lindsey Cummings was the second scoring runner as she ran a time of 27:50.
In her collegiate debut, freshman
Maggie Thompson ran 29:39. The scoring runners for Concord was rounded out by sophomores
Brittany Vaught (30:05) and
Briana Parsons (30:38).
Fellow sophomores
Jada Strachan and
Jerell Strachan completed the course in 31:57 and 32:19 to round out the competitors for the Mountain Lions.
After a week off from competition, Concord will host its annual Concord Alumni Meet at Pipestem State Park October 18.
