MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU is coming off a hard-fought 1-0 loss to Notre Dame Sunday on neutral field in Beckely, West Virginia.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Katie Maher made three saves in the contest to inch closer to 100 saves for her career. Maher has stopped 98 shots during her time in the Maroon and Gray, and would be the seventh player in program history with 100 career saves.
Despite the loss to NDC, the Mountain Lions outshot Notre Dame, 14-9. Concord has outshot its opponents in eight of nine games this season.
Earlier this season, CU picked up a 4-0 road victory over Shepherd in what was part of a 3-0-1 start to the season for the Mountain Lion.

st minute with fellow sophomore midfielder
Sarah Hill assisting. Freshman forward
Leah Foster scored her fourth goal of the season for the second goal just 10 minutes later.
Sophomore midfielder
Mira Kontio was responsible for the first goal of the season half. Freshman forward
Maggie Hall also scored in the game for her first collegiate. Freshman defender
Leigh Wightman picked up two-second half assists versus Shepherd for her collegiate. Additionally, the performance by Wightman led to her being named the MEC Defensive Player of the Week for the week for September 10.
The road victory for the Mountain Lions at Shepherd on September 9 was the first time Concord had won at Shepherd since the 2009 season.
Thursday will be just the second true home game of the season for CU. Concord has played twice in Beckley this season, but owns only a 4-0 win over Felician on September 2 for its lone home win of the season.
Three Mountain Lion substitutes were responsible for the four goals versus Felician: junior midfielder

Kaitlyn Kerrigan.
Concord swept Wheeling Jesuit last season as the Maroon and Gray outscored the Cardinals 6-3 in two games. CU defeated WJU 4-3 at Anderson Field last season on the power of a hat trick from senior forward
