ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team hosts Charleston in the first round of the Mountain East Conference Tournament 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson Field.

RECORDS
Concord is 10-4-3 this season and went 8-3-2 during the MEC regular season.
Charleston is 9-7-2 and also posted an 8-3-2 mark in the conference.
PRE-GAME RECOGNITION
Prior to the game, the MEC will recognize members of the All-MEC First Team for both Charleston and Concord. The All-MEC Teams will also be released Tuesday.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Tuesday's contest will be the second meeting between the two teams in three days. The squads played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at Anderson Field.
The tie against Charleston helped the Mountain Lions secure home field for the game after Concord beat the Golden Eagles in double overtime earlier this season on the road, 1-0.
Overall, just five goals have been scored in the last four games between the teams with three games ending in a 1-0 decision. The last two times CU has won versus UC it has come in double overtime with senior forward
Pilar Elias scoring the game-winning goals.
Sophomore midfielder
Courtney Wallace scored in Sunday's matchup to push her consecutive games with a point streak to seven. Over those seven games with at least one point, Wallace has tallied goals in five of them.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Katie Maher was called upon to make eight saves in Sunday's draw which tied a season high in saves for the Blackburn, England native. Maher also made eight saves in a 1-1 tie at Wingate.
On Sunday, Concord was outshot (15-12) for just third time this year, however, two instances have been against UC after Charleston had 17 shots at home to CU's 10.
In the last four meetings, Concord has had three of the same four defenders on the field that has limited the Golden Eagles to two goals: senior

Sophomore midfielder
Yasmin Mosby had three shots on goal for the Mountain Lions versus Charleston in the regular season finale. Before Sunday, Mosby had scored in two consecutive games.
The first round of the MEC Tournament will pit the highest-scoring team in the MEC, Concord, against one of the best defensive teams in the league, Charleston. CU is averaging over three goals per game and leads the league in total goals with 52.
Meanwhile, the Golden Eagles have given up just 17 goals—one less than Concord—this season which ranks fourth in the MEC. Â
Tuesday will mark the first time since 2009 that Concord has hosted a conference postseason game.
The Mountain Lions will be seeking their first conference tournament victory since 2012 when they defeated Davis & Elkins in the semifinals of the WVIAC Conference Tournament.
In the all-time series versus UC, the Mountain Lions hold a 16-9-3 advantage.
CHARLESTON AT A GLANCE
Since September 26, UC has just one loss, a 1-0 defeat against Notre Dame. During the month of October, Charleston has gone 5-1-2.
Marlee Coleman scored her first goal of the season versus Concord in the 1-1 tie Sunday.
Charleston's leading scorer is Keira Hill who has nine goals and five assists this season.
Both goalkeepers, Carol Burgess and Kaylee Hensley, played against Concord Sunday. Burgess allowed the goal to Wallace in the second half. Hensley has a 0.72 goals against average this season.
