ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team hosts West Virginia Wesleyan for a Mountain East Conference contest at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

RECORDS
The Mountain Lions enter the matchup 8-3-2 overall and 6-2-1 conference.
West Virginia Wesleyan is 9-1-2 overall and 7-0-2 conference.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord picked up a 2-1 road victory previously on Sunday against West Liberty as it earned its sixth win of the conference season.
While West Liberty began the game with scoring in the sixth minute of the contest, sophomore midfielder
Courtney Wallace responded with a goal for Concord.
Both teams entered halftime intermission with a tie of 1-1.
Sophomore
Elisha Robinson crossed a pass to fellow midfielder
Mira Kontio allowing Concord to score its second goal of the contest, and Kontio's fifth of the season. It was Kontio's first game-winning goal of 2018.
With Wallace and Kontio getting into the scoring column at WLU, the Mountain Lions now have five players with at least 10 points on the season. Senior forward
Pilar Elias leads CU with 17 points. Freshman forward
Leah Foster has 14 on the season. A five-point week last week gives Wallace 13 while sophomore midfielder
Sarah Hill and Kontio each have 11 points.
Only WVWC has as many players with double-figure points in 2018 as CU.
The Mountain Lions were able to hold the Hilltoppers for the rest of the second half, including sophomore goalkeeper
Katie Maher making four saves.
Concord and Wesleyan will be meeting for the second time this season.
Previously, Wesleyan downed Concord 3-1 on the road.
Freshman forward
Kaitlyn Kerrigan passed the ball to fellow freshman forward
Maggie Hall for Concord's goal in the first half, and Hall's second goal of the season. Hall scored her third goal against Fairmont State during last week's matchup between the Fighting Falcons and the Mountain Lions.
Wallace had three shots on goal during the first contest held between the Mountain Lions and Lady Bobcats. Wallace has been voted MEC Offensive Player of the Week and is now tied for 10
th all-time for number of assists at Concord with 11.
Speaking of rankings, Elias is also ranked in Concord's all-time records. The Waterville, Maine native is tied for seventh with 54 total points. Elias also etched her name as sixth for number of goals with 22 career goals.
WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
Wesleyan is currently undefeated in the Mountain East Conference.
The Lady Bobcats shutout the Mountain Lions (3-0 and 1-0) in both matches last season.
Natalie Prater is ranked number one for game-winning goals in the MEC.
