ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team hosts Bluefield College to close out a four-match home stand 7:00 p.m. Thursday before hitting the road for Mountain East Conference contests at Charleston 7:00 p.m. Friday and at West Virginia State 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

RECORDS
CU is 7-9 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Bluefield College is .500 on the season at 9-9.
Charleston has posted a record of 4-8, but has not played a conference game this season.
Meanwhile, WVSU is 5-5 on the season, and has yet to play an MEC contest.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord has lifted its record to 7-9 on the season by winning four straight matches for the second consecutive season.
The Mountain Lions haven't won five straight matches since October 2013.
During the four-game streak, CU has only dropped one set, and is outscoring its opponents by 7.7 points per set in the games it has won.
Sophomore middle hitter
Emily Ellis is coming of a strong weekend that saw her record 21 kills with just two errors for a hitting percentage of .593 in wins over Glenville State and West Virginia Wesleyan. Ellis also contributed 11 blocks in two matches.
The Mountain Lions enter the weekend third in the MEC in hitting percentage (.199) behind only Wheeling Jesuit and West Virginia State.
CU has hit over .200 in its last six matches including a season-high .389 as a team versus Glenville State.
Against the Pioneers, Ellis hit .733 while junior outside hitter
Alexi Pranckus was .500 for the match.
Senior outside hitter
Felicia Huerta was 4-for-7 (.571) and senior middle hitter
Shea Hoffman smacked down two balls in four attempts without an error for a .500 hitting percentage.
Hoffman elevated her career percentage to .196 to move within two points of Desiree Deck for fifth all-time at Concord.
Over the weekend, sophomore outside hitter
Ellie Lawrence went over 1,000 total attack attempts to qualify for the all-time list at CU.
The Newport News, Virginia native propelled herself into eighth on the all-time list at .185 for her career.
Last season, CU won a five-set match over Bluefield College at The Dome in Bluefield, Virginia.
A trio of Mountain Lions, junior middle hitter
Brooke Heck, Lawrence and Pranckus each had 14 kills with Pranckus hitting .389 for the match, and Heck .310.
Senior setter
Casey Mandeville handed out a career-best 33 assists in the marathon match.
After losing to UC on the road last season, the Mountain Lions picked up a pivotal home win against the Golden Eagles that boosted CU into the MEC Tournament.
Heck and Lawrence each had 11 kills in the home win as CU hit .266 in the win, and limited Charleston to .153. It was the first time Concord had beaten UC since head coach
Kate Dillon came to Athens prior to the 2009 season.
The Mountain Lions swept both matches from West Virginia State last season, but needed five sets to win on the road and four games at the Carter Center.
Lawrence produced 16 kills with only one error in 49 swings against West Virginia State in two matches last season.

Bluefield College has won four straight matches and six of its last seven leading up to Thursday night.
BC's Ellen Johnson notched 1,000
th kill in a straight-set victory over Bluefield State earlier in the week.
The Rams are limiting their opponents to a .157 hitting percentage.

UC has lost five of its last six matches. The Golden Eagles had the opening weekend of MEC play off.
